I can't figure out who to believe; some say the 10-speed stuff is more fragile, others say it's fine, and will eventually replace 9-speed stuff completely, making it the better choice. WebSora is one rank higer than Claris - that's why the Opus has a 9 speed cassette and the Giant is only 8. It looks like crankset on the Giant is slightly better and the Opus, but it seems the brakes on the Opus are better (but I'm less familiar with those components). The Opus also has a Carbon fork so it's possibly more comfortable than the Giant.
