WebHave you tried not bothering with Earana at all? Just give the book to Teekus and go make your own shock spell. I reloaded from the imperial sewers, went straight to Teekus, gave him the book and only talked to Earana to advance the quest. I didn't steal it for her and I still haven't gotten an update about the recommendation. WebIf Earana is not at the Grey Mare, she is by the mages guild and you have to pick pocket the book from her. I can confirm this, as I've done it both ways.
